David Wolf

David Wolf is a managing principal of BSW Wealth Partners and Chief Investment Officer. David leads BSW's investment group, sets firm economic and investment policy, and guides the implementation of client portfolios, including BSW's IMPACT investment strategy. He is particularly interested in understanding how investors can benefit from the rise of China, India and other developing markets, and has an ardor for entrepreneurial endeavors. Prior to joining BSW, David worked with a leading Colorado venture capital firm, and also founded a technology company.

A licensed member of the Colorado Bar, David graduated from the JD/MBA dual-degree program at the University of Colorado at Boulder and received a BA from DePauw University. While at DePauw, he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and was a visiting student at St. Catherine's College, Oxford University. He is a member of the board of directors of the University of Colorado at Boulder's Leeds School of Business, the CU Real Estate Council, the investment committee of Touchpoint Partners, and the advisory board of Greenmont Capital Partners.

David is a dedicated supporter of the University of Colorado and its Leeds School of Business, where he is a frequent guest speaker, a mentor to students, and has established a scholarship for outstanding first-generation college students. He received the 2009 Leeds Young Alumni Service Award and, in 2011, received Boulder's Forty Under 40 Award for business and civic leadership.

Away from BSW, David enjoys earning his turns, bumbling through foreign languages, dorking out on sci-fi, and is an avid attendee of the Colorado Shakespeare Festival. He has climbed all 54 of Colorado's 14,000-foot peaks and his passion for rock and ice climbing has taken him to Australia, Bolivia, Cayman Brac, Ecuador, England, France, Italy, Mexico, Norway, Japan, Spain, Thailand, and (hopefully!) many more beautiful places to come. His true love, though, is his wife, Norie, with whom he enjoys soaking in onsen, practicing Nihon-go, and sharing life's many adventures!
